So yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting one of my favorite fashion bloggers! She is an inspiring woman with a great sense of style and who turned out to be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Of course I am talking about Sincerely Jules. I follow her account on Instagram and a couple of days ago I saw that she was launching her very first pop up shop and I had to be there! A friend and I drove to LA and got to hangout with her, shop her new Tee collection and meet some awesome people.
The event took place at 313 N Edinburgh Ave, Los Angeles this past Friday the January 30th. I wasn’t sure how the event was going to be but I jumped at the opportunity to be part of it. Traffic going up to LA was horrible as usual but get we there and realize we were one of the first one’s to arrive so that gave us the opportunity to talk to her for a while. And truth be told, for such a famous blogger, with more than a million followers she was surprisingly lovely and down to earth. You never know what to expect and of course I didn’t want to bother her either but she was really easy going and happy to greet everyone. All this time I wasn’t even sure that she would be at the event so I was extremely happy with how things turned out.
The pop up shop was small but beautifully decorated. It was easy to see her unique style represented in every inch of that place. There were art pieces hanging on the walls, clothing racks on each side of the store with her new collection of tees, a dreamy Flower Bar were she would help you arrange your set of flowers, a mini cupcake stand and many cool people just as excited as I was. Among them were other famous bloggers such as Eat Sleep Wear who by the way had the raddest shoes.. I had to compliment them! and later on I found out that Lovers Friends LA and AnineBingstopped by as well and I happen to admire them very much so you can imagine my excitement!
All in all it was a very fun event and of course I couldn’t help but shop her famous CÉLFIE tee and left the pop up shop with a huge smile on my face. It was very inspiring to meet someone like Sincerely Jules who has one of the coolest jobs and is basically living the dream. I just created this blog but it made me want to work hard at it and keep writing about different places, topics and people I meet and hopefully you’ll find it inspiring as well.
I’ve already shared mine but I’d love to know Who is your Favorite Blogger and Why? it doesn’t have to be about fashion, just anyone you admire;) Leave a comment below! As always, thank you for reading.
Last week I went to Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills and I have to say this place is beautiful! I went with my friend Karen and we had a great time so for anyone that hasn’t been I recommend you to stop by. The house is located in the hills so it has a great view of the city, the architecture is a nice change from busy LA and it doesn’t take too long to visit so its a great option for those of you who are here only a few days.
There are so many things to see and do in LA that I find myself here almost every week so when I heard about Greystone Mansion I was thrilled to check it out. And it didn’t disappoint, this place was amazing…
Its places like this that make my day. It was so peaceful and the gardens were breathtaking, we couldn’t help but explore every inch of this place and admire the view. If you have a free afternoon I recommend you visit this place, you’ll love it!
Tip: To enter the actual house you have to schedule a tour but the grounds and parking are free and open to the public for exploring. They had an event the day we went so we didn’t have the opportunity to go inside but everything was so beautiful that I was just as happy walking around the gardens. Of course if you have the time, plan to explore the inside as well because I had a peak and I definitely liked what I saw.
If you do wander around the mansion let me know how you liked it, so feel free to comment below! And if you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask, I’d be more than happy to reply;)
A blog about Fashion, Travel and Everything that Inspires
My name is Erika, Im 26 years old from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and I am a wanderer at heart. I currently live in Newport Beach where I continue to study Fashion Merchandising and get my daily dose of vitamin D by the beach. I grew up traveling the world with my family, from Dominican Republic to Brazil, the U. S., Argentina, you name it… we moved every year. As I got older that traveling bug remained with me therefore I’ve kept changing my address the same way. I’ll probably never know what its like to have a house that treasures all your childhood memories, but what I do have is a collection of different places around the world that when put together tell the story of who I am. And to me thats pretty exciting too. Today this is how I continue to live my life, whether its local or far Im always searching for new places and things that will keep me inspired. I’ve realized there’s hidden gems everywhere you go, maybe a new art exhibition or event, a cozy new bookstore, a new restaurant or a hidden beach somewhere waiting to be found, its the little things that make my day and I know Im not the only one. So this is how Wander With Love was created, as a way to share those little discoveries with anyone who enjoys exploring as much as I do. I encourage you to wander with love for Culture, Music, Places and People. I believe that you should wander with love for whats around you, to be inspired and inspiring.
I am very excited to begin this new project and hopefully I’ll get to meet great people along the way, so don’t hesitate to leave a comment or question below, I´d love to hear from you!
