Mexico Bound For The Holidays

It’s been a week since I  returned from sunny Punta Mita, Mexico and I’m already missing it! I traveled there for my friend’s wedding and this time I took my boyfriend Tom with me <3  It was such a fun trip! We stayed at a private Resort Villa right by a golf course and the had the beautiful beach steps away. I had been wanting to take my boyfriend to Mexico fro a while now and this was the perfect occasion! It was 5 days of just relaxing at the beach clubs with spicy margaritas, all the while enjoying the view of the Sierra Madre palm tree-lined mountains that frame the bay. Really the best vacation ever!

I am happy to say that it was beautiful this time of year! While it’s true that this part of Mexico is year round beach weather, it’s the months of November through April that are the best to visit. You get the warm sunny days without the excessive humidity or the threat of heavy rain (which are months July to early September). Just perfect to enjoy some paddle boarding, surfing or snorkelling if you wish. But I must confess I did none of the above, guilty I know! Tom and some of the other guys in the group did give it a try, maybe next time I’ll put down the margaritas and be more adventurous, but for this trip all I wanted was to enjoy the company and relax with a good book.. side note! I’ve been reading Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes lately and I’ve been loving it, but anyways back to my travels…

The entire trip I wore nothing but comfy summer-like dresses and bikinis, who does that in November, right?? This is why I’ve always loved the weather back home.

This is St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, it is such a relaxing and luxurious hotel. I loved everything about this place and let me tell you the food here as amazing!! *Order the Octopus Tostadas, they are to die for! I enjoyed mine under the palm trees while laying in the lounge area. But the best part? I got to enjoy it with him. Out of all the good things that have happened to me in the last year, the thing I am most grateful for is this guy right here. His patience, love and support mean so much to me:) I am the happiest and my only wish is that we get to go back soon!

Travel Diaries No. 4

Hi there!

As some of you might have seen on Snapchat or Instagram, I’ve been traveling for the past month and it has been so much fun! I was able to relax and visit some of my favorite places, so of course the weeks flew by. But its back to reality! So now that I’ve gone through all the photos I took, I want to share some with you <3

While I was down there,  I stayed mostly in Puerto Vallarta. The weather right now is perfect so of course I lived in nothing but my favorite bikinis and enjoyed a margarita.. or two. And one of the brands I love wearing the most is Triangl. I love the fabric, its the perfect fit and they recently launched a new and more cheeky design for their bottoms!! I’ve been waiting for them to do this forever so of course I had to have it! It was the perfect swimwear for our gorgeous bungalow hotel called Hotelito Mio.  If you are ever in Puerto Vallarta you have to stop by! Its about an hour from the city but sooo worth it! Like I mentioned on my last post, I feel very lucky to be able to travel as much as I do so I never take it for granted. Every trip inspires me in different ways and right now I need all the inspiration I can get to keep pursuing my goals for this year <3 So I’ll be taking a special trip very soon again.. but more of that later;) For now I’ll leave you with these photos, hope you like them!

Travel Diary 1: Punta de Mita

Hi guys!

Excited its Friday?? I know I am. Ever since I got back from my last trip I’ve been working non stop on new photoshoots, designing for a new project that Im planning to launch next year and trying to keep up with this season’s demands. I truly enjoy what I do, but sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming so its nice to have the weekend back;)

Also I am very excited to share with you details from this last trip. I traveled to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City for Thanksgiving. It was rushed but definitely worth it! I spent 1o days just visiting family and friends, which I was really grateful for, specially this time of year. And of course as a good blogger I had to plan a few photoshoots here and there to show you my beautiful Mexico. This location is Punta de Mita, a 40 minute drive from Puerto Vallarta. Its known for its surfing spots and your best bet at finding more private beaches;) The weather was so nice that all I needed was a beach coverup and my favorite swimsuit. And since its winter time and the view was this beautiful, I decided to go for an all black outfit to make it stand out. A little tip I’ve learned whenever I travel, let the location be part of your look. But anyways, I’ve known Merrilee’s Swimwear for a while now and love their designs, I have them in every color. And I just recently discovered PilyQ Swimwear, Im so happy I did! Their lace coverup is surprisingly soft and its so beautifully detailed that of course I fell in love with it. Let me know what you guys think..

As the year comes to an end, I am grateful to see that even though I had my ups and downs it really was an amazing year. I’ve learned a lot and I am getting organized so I can start the next year full of energy and work hard on my next projects. Im very excited for the new things to come! Hope everyone’s weekend is fun and I’ll be posting more of this trip so follow along for more..

Summer Getaway: Cancun

Hi There!

Hope everyone’s week is going great. Im finally back from my little trip to Cancun and I’ve been dying to share it with you…

This summer I’ve been taking short trips to different parts of Mexico and its been a lot of fun. To be honest, my original plan for this summer was a bit different but things never go as we wish them to. But even though I’ve been really sad about it, I still had the opportunity to visit my beautiful country, so Im grateful for that and I’ve tried to make the most of it  <3 I don’t know if it was the tropical weather, the crystal clear water or maybe the fact that I got to see my family, but somehow this trip felt like a big giant hug. With that in mind, I know that traveling to touristy places can be tricky but since I grew up there I still have a few favorite spots that I love to visit;) For those of you who aren’t familiar with the area I have a few tips:

Isla mujeres is a lovely island to spend the day, I like Lancheros Beach. It has the most translucent water known to mankind, you get to swim with whale sharks which I’ve done before in Cabo and was amazing, now imagine the experience in the clearest water! Plus you’ll find the underwater museum which I have yet to try –if my sensitive ears will allow it.

If you’re going to do the whole natural park thing I absolutely recommend Xcaret! It is such an amazing place, you get to visit beautiful animals, swim in underground rivers and caves, enjoy the beach, get to explore and learn about the mayan town and the night show is a must.. this last one represents Mexico’s culture 100%, I love it! Don’t waste you time with Xel-Ha, its not as big or beautiful, there’s way less things to do and its a longer drive. Xplore is not my favorite but if you’ve tried one park and are looking to continue the experience I would go for this one instead;)

Cenote Dos Ojos is a natural swimming whole with rocky sides, much like a cave. Its gorgeous to explore, bring snorkel equipment, its a bit of drive but its really beautiful! Tulum is full of natural cenotes, so you have plenty of options this is just one of them.

I’ll post more photos and tips in the near future but for now I’ll share with you some of my favs from this trip! With such beauty around me I was inspired to wear all white for this trip to let the beautiful greens stand out;) The first is a beach cover up with embroidered flowers on the sides that I simply loved, its so fresh and comfortable to wear, perfect for a quick getaway. The second outfit is a white linen dress for a day, a lifesaver for any vacation spot you visit;) And the third outfit is my favorite, denim + stripes, this basic goes perfect with a day at sea…

I would have loved to stay more days in my little Paradise, but unfortunately reality kicked in telling me its finally time to move to my new home this Saturday!! Im overwhelmed and excited at the same time so we’ll see how it goes…

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a great rest of your week! And as always thanks so much for reading…
