This past weekend I attended Coachella 2017 Week 1 and it was so fun! I attended a couple of private parties, had fun with some of my other blogger friends and got to wear cute outfits. What’s not to love??
Many people attend for different reasons, but being a Fashion Blogger I think Coachella is a great opportunity to express your best sense of style! To try new things and just have fun with what you wear. Specially since I don’t live in San Francisco anymore where I could experiment everyday so here’s what I wore…
I wore this look to the POPSUGAR party and loved how easy it was to put together. The top is actually a pearl bralette from Forever 21, as are the necklaces and the powder blue shorts. I just loved how it went together and let’s face it, the desert was over 100 degrees that day so I needed the right outfit to be able to enjoy the weekend.
I paired it with this cute Joh Apparel blue jacket with fringe at the sides to keep things fun and interesting and added my new loves… My platform blush sandals from Kaanas. I’m obsessed with these! Plus they are really comfortable so they were perfect for Coachella <3
Layering necklaces is always a must and I actually had a pearl choker that ended up going perfect with the bralette! So it looks like it’s part of it when in reality they are two separate items, just having fun with the outfit.
This look was for the Rachel Zoe or as they called it Zoeasis party! I had such a good time here. They set it up at this beautiful garden with roses everywhere! It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland at the queen’s castle but somehow mixed up with the fun Coachella vibes, perfect decor.
For this look I wore a BEBE jumpsuit, my PARED Eyewear (my new faves), added some checkers and arm jewellery and good to go! Honestly I really wanted some pop of color and this was just what I was looking for. I was comfy all day but still in that festival mood I was going for 😉 What did you guys think?
I took a few videos of the weekend that I will upload pretty soon, so stay tuned for more!
Spring is one of my favorite seasons. Wearing light colors and fabrics, spending my days outside enjoying the sun, it makes my days so much better! Plus it’s finally the perfect weather for wearing rompers again and you already know how much I loved them. Like this one from Bishop & Young. The print is very subtle and beautiful and the colors complement each other perfectly. I’m in love with it! And it’s the perfect piece to pack on a little weekend getaway. Keep reading to find more key pieces to pack…
One of my best friends Melissa , helped me take these amazing photos and do my makeup. We had the best time driving around and findings cute spots to shoot, hanging out all day and having sushi <3 (our favorite thing to do!) It was just a really great day. And I love how these turned out! She’s a great photographer and makeup artist. Right now she is working on getting an account focussed on her creative side, so I’ll share it with you guys when it’s ready so you can check her amazing work!
Now, about achieving the perfect little “getaway look”. Here are 4 simple steps you can follow:
Get a statement piece. In this case the hat would be mine, I like covering my face from the sun as much as I can. Plus it makes the outfit more interesting!
Finding a cute but comfortable look. Loose clothes always help get those vacation vibes going. Plus you will be able to enjoy your trip better!
Go light on the accessories. Just find a couple pieces that go with most of your outfits, that way you can mix and layer as you go. Gorjana always have the cutest!
Comfortable shoes without sacrificing style! I always find that wedges are the perfect travel shoe. They give you the height but you can still walk in them all day and not get tired. Plus they work perfect day or night, so you save space! Win-win situation, right?
I have been blogging for about 2 years now and it has been an amazing journey. I have had my ups and downs, I have re-designed my website several times, I have been part exciting campaigns and most importantly I have learned a lot about myself.
Blogging can be very rewarding and profitable if done right. But it requires a lot of effort on your part, so I have listed my top reasons for blogging below, have a look and see if blogging is for you:
If you are one of those people who love many different things and don’t want to limit yourself to just one, then blogging might be right for you! For me it combines so many different passions. There’s Styling if you’re interested in fashion. The joy of putting together interesting outfits that best represent who you are. There’s Photography involved, because whether you have a personal photographer or not you always end up adding your own content featuring your everyday life, travels and interests. There’s also Writing . The main focus of your blogging and the voice that will attract certain groups of people to your site. Your blog content will be a great tool to share your expertise on different topics and be of help to others! Editing is a big part of it too, your blog content, enhancing your photos to grab your reader’s attention and of course to keep your overall look consistent to your “brand”. Jump from industry to industry. Meaning, if your blog is Lifestyle based then you can add Interior Decor, Travel, Food, Beauty, even add a DIY section. Create a new category even! Why not right? It’s your own creative space. The possibilities are endless…
2. It also gives you the Freedom to run your business. As you begin to grow you will be able to choose the brands you work with on you own terms and free to create content in the way that best describes YOU. It is such a thrill to be in charge of every step that goes into every post. It’s a lot of work don’t get me wrong! But it also feels ten times better to do something you are really passionate about and take it as far as you wish to go.
3. Which leads me to my next point. Being able to work in your own schedule and from anywhere in the world. Blogging can allow you to write down your own calendar, make your own creative decisions and turn this into a business while still following your unique vision for it.
4. That said, there’s also a lot you are committing to. If you are serious about it, then you must be consistent, be able to follow through on contracts and posting schedules. And while it might not be a typical “desk job” it certainly has its longer hours. Why? Because there’s endless emails coming in everyday, social media updates on every sigle platform, events and social gatherings you are expected to join, content creating to post at least once a day seven days a week. That’s right, we don’t get a rest day, there’s no such thing as a weekend off. You must be ahead of it 100% of the time and having an understanding family/friends is absolute key. Also consider all negociations, planning, executing and promoting falls on you. So you have be able to handle the extra work load.
5. And final and most important point of all… It will make your days happier and more creative than you could have imagined! It will keep you motivated to do your best each and everyday to keep growing. It’s a job you will love doing and you will get to do things you never imagined you could.
If this is something that feels right for you then go for it! I have loved every minute and I’m here to share my experience with you. I have posted other Blogging Tips here , here and here so keep reading if this something you are interested in! If anyone has any questions or want me to share on a specific topic comment below!
I have exciting news! This April I will be attending Hispanicize 2017 in Miami as a correspondent. Through my social media and blog, I will be covering events for the entire week including panels, workshops, Tecla Awards, Positive Impact Awards and special presentations in the Music and Film industry. It will be a very exciting event! Now, for those of you who aren’t familiar with it, Hispanicize is an annual event for Latino trendsetters in entertainment, marketing, digital content creation, journalism and tech entrepreneurship. It’s a great place to learn about exciting topics such as Branding, Finding your voice as a Content Creator, How to market and monetize your platform, Understanding your Google Analytics, Optimise SEO, Photography, Fashion and so much more! I am very happy to have been invited and can’t wait to connect with other professionals in the latino community. It will be a great week to network, learn and have an amazing time together!
This will be my first year attending Hispanicize, however I have attended many conferences and events in the past so I have a lot to share with all of you who are thinking of attending this year’s event! So let’s get started…
Tip #1: Don’t forget your chargers! One thing I quickly learned was that bringing a portable charger for my phone and camera was key to making the most out of any event. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to take pictures, connect with influencers or update your social media so trust me this one is key.
Tip #2: Pack Smart. This means wearing comfortable shoes! Women you more than anyone know the pain of wearing heels from 8am to 10pm, now think about doing it for 5 straight days. Not fun huh? I would recommend packing cute but comfy shoes for day events and leave the heels for the music and film gatherings at night! If you are dead set on maintaining a certain height then go for wedges, they are far more comfortable than heels and you will still look tall and beautiful!
Tip #3: Business Cards. This is one you definitely don’t want to leave behind! You will be meeting so many people at this event so you better come prepared. It’s a great way to make an impression and leave behind something others can remember you by. I always carry a couple wherever I go, but for occasions like these I carry way more than I think I’ll need so don’t forget yours.
Tip #4: Find out who else might be attending. It’s a great idea to connect with others prior to the event! Don’t get me wrong, you will be making new friends the second you walk in but it’s always nice to reach out to other like minded people and share experiences, tips and all the excitement about your upcoming trip. I have done this before and have made friends that I still remain close to this day!
Tip #5: Don’t be shy and learn to interact! Events and conferences are not the place to be shy. You want to meet new people, create opportunities for your self, learn from others and put your name out there. Know that everyone attending will be wanting to make connections as well, so speak up and have a good time. I know I mentioned phones before, but I think they should be limited for taking pictures or connecting on social media, other than that you should put it down and actually interact with others around you. Trust me you will want to make the most of it!
Tip #6: Have a pitch ready! We all have different reasons for attending, some of you will be going to learn about a specific industry and how to get started, others might be going to put their name or brand out there and some of you might be there to connect with other professionals and make new friends. Whatever your reason is, I recommend you have a few lines prepared about what you do and why you are there. Make it short, simple but memorable. This will save you from awkward moments or most importantly of missing out on opportunities to collaborate with others! So again, come prepared.
And that’s it for now! I will be posting more details about this exciting trip once the event gets closer but for now I hope you found this post helpful. Hispanicize 2017 will take place April 3-6th in Miami, FL at the JW Marriott Marquis. I am very excited to be part of it and I hope to see you all there! I believe it’s expected to gather more than 3,000 of the nation’s most influential Latino professionals so it will be a really exciting event! Head over to their website linked below to learn more about the schedule, key note speakers and workshops.
Minimal style for Valentines! This holiday is just around the corner, so I put together a simple and chic look to wear for this cute occasion <3 Whether you spend it with your friends, family or your significant other this is the perfect look for it. It’s comfy to wear but a statement piece at the same time, so what’s not to love?
Now, if there is anything you need to know about me is that I ALWAYS love to dress up for specific occasions. Christmas, New Years, First day of Spring, 4th of July, Halloween… you name it! So of course, Valentines is no different. To me it’s the perfect excuse to have fun with your outfit so here it is…
The jacket is from Make Me Chic . This website has very affordable and cute clothes, so it’s perfect for shopping the latest trends without spending a ton of money. They have this jacket for $33.90 so it’s a great deal and I can see myself wearing it a lot. The trick to wearing pieces like these is to style them with basic items! That way it doesn’t look overdone or messy and let’s face it will be less of a headache when you’re trying to get ready in the morning. Simple is always best.
Hello February! Finally one of my favourite months of the year is here. I am a very traditional girl when it comes to cutesy-romantic things so of course this month is much awaited!! It’s just a beautiful time to celebrate friendship and love, to be kind to people and let’s not forget always a great excuse for flowers and wine, am I right?? My girls know!
Anyways with the love theme happening this month, I was inspired by blue and pink pastel colors, so of course I incorporated it into my outfit! I am wearing brands I have never tried before and I love them both!! Let me tell you about them..
First is this Light Blue Suede Coat from Stylewe. A cool new (to me) online retail store that has the most amazing clothes! I swear I’m obsessed with everything they have and specially when it comes to layering. They have such interesting variety of prints, fabrics and colors! I’m just in love with their website. It seems to me like every amazing piece of clothing you drool over on Pinterest you can find here! I am not kidding you but if you don’t believe take a look yourself, I left links below so keep scrolling.
And second is this Marine Tee from Amour Vert . They are a high quality clothing brand that focuses on delivering style that goes hand in hand with sustainability, which I love!! It’s always such a joy to find brands that care about their social responsibilities, who want to help the cause instead of adding to the problem, it’s refreshing! And the fact that Amour Vert manages to do all of this and still deliver such a beautifully curated collection is truly inspiring to me! Can’t get enough of this brand and their ultra soft clothing, guys this is a must try. *I was not paid to promote these brands, it’s my honest opinion.
And of course, you can never go wrong with classics… My favorite Daniel Wellington Black Watch and my Over The Knee Jeffrey Campbell Boots. They are my best buds and I take them everywhere!
It’s been a hectic couple of weeks! I feel like January just flew by me so fast that I barely got time to adjust to the new year. So with a busy agenda comes the need for dressing comfortably in a chic way! So I put together a look that comes in handy for times like these. The outfit comes from classic and beautiful brands, some new, some local and some too fun not to mention!
My vest comes from Haute Shop Co a very cute and affordable online shop that I recently found! And their style is very versatile which I love. You can find anything from your much needed basic tees, the perfect date dress, to your edgy- fun jacket for a girls night out! They have it all and to my experience their delivery was quick and easy and the fit is true to size. I got a few things from them, so I will post other items soon but for now let me tell you this vest is beyond comfortable, I pretty much take it everywhere I go <3
For accessories I wore my all time favorite Rayban sunnies (I wear them to much, I know but I can’t get enough). And my current favourite… my Timex watch, it goes with everything! And it’s perfect for the cute-casual look I was going for. (Details to shop below..)
When it comes to comfort and style my go to lately has been Thursday Boots. They are a high quality boot brand that stole my attention back when they were only making them for men, seriously, I kept waiting for them to launch their women’s collection and they finally did so I jumped at the opportunity to try them myself! I was not disappointed <3
I love, love, love finding out new brands to shop and these are some of my absolute favourites!! I hope you guys like them too and if you try them please leave me your thoughts below. As always thank you for stoping by!
I first created Wander With Love with the idea of introducing people to new discoveries. Anywhere from places to eat, favorite shops, what to see/do and of course include my personal style! I just get so excited about things like these that I wanted a place where I could share my little hidden gems with everyone else. Well, recently I found a new cute place to shop so I’m here to tell you all about it!
Primp Boutique is one of my new faves <3 Their style is modern chic, everything is under $100 and everything so far has been true to size (very very important to me when I shop online). I got a couple of things from their site and I will be posting in the next few days but I’m starting with this beautiful silver suede vest! I am obsessed with vests lately, they are the perfect add on that turns a basic outfit into a more fun and stylish one. I styled it with my favorite ankle boots and hat and I’m ready to go grab coffee with my girlfriends! Let me know what you think…
I went to Carrera Cafe on Melrose. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite places to hangout after shooting all day. The coffee is great, the people there are always so nice and the beautiful art work inspires my day, so what’s not to love!
This year I have many goals for Wander With Love. Some are scary, some are exciting and some I haven’t figured out HOW I’m going to make happen, but one thing is sure.. I will stop putting these plans off, be brave and get them done!
From adding new platforms for sharing my style and tips, to more traveling this year to working with new people in this industry. I have already met so many interesting people this year, many of them who inspire and push me to do better! So I want to keep putting myself out there and finally put these ideas into action.
The way I tackle the “brave” part is by sharing these plans with my friends and family and giving myself a period of time to meet that goal. It’s a great way to lose these doubts and insecurities because you will get honest and dedicated feedback. Plus, by openly committing to a time frame I have found that I am more likely to actually getting it done. Makes sense right?
So whatever you have planned for this year, make sure you begin working on that list before January ends! Not to put pressure on any of you, but it’s already the 19th and I feel like if the month ends and you haven’t attempted at least the first thing on your list, it will set a bad precedent for the rest of the year! It will be easier to lose momentum and fall into the “oh there’s always next year” mindset which will get us nowhere right? So get going!! <3 And please if there is any questions you might have about blogging or anything fashion related, let me know! I would love to hear your thoughts.
This year the suede trend did a big comeback and I cannot get over it! There’s something about this soft texture that makes me feel like I’m back in the 70’s. It’s just so fun wear! I love it in dresses, tops, coats and skirts. The trick is to wear it with classic pieces, that way you balance out this style.
I recently found a new website called Chicwish where I found the most beautiful pencil skirt! The suede fabric is what drew my eye, but what did it for me was the asymmetrical flap and self-tie bow at the waist. I love little details like that! I paired it with a simple open back bodysuit and my favorite lace up suede heels. Let me know what you think!
