Spring is one of my favorite seasons. Wearing light colors and fabrics, spending my days outside enjoying the sun, it makes my days so much better! Plus it’s finally the perfect weather for wearing rompers again and you already know how much I loved them. Like this one from Bishop & Young. The print is very subtle and beautiful and the colors complement each other perfectly. I’m in love with it! And it’s the perfect piece to pack on a little weekend getaway. Keep reading to find more key pieces to pack…
One of my best friends Melissa , helped me take these amazing photos and do my makeup. We had the best time driving around and findings cute spots to shoot, hanging out all day and having sushi <3 (our favorite thing to do!) It was just a really great day. And I love how these turned out! She’s a great photographer and makeup artist. Right now she is working on getting an account focussed on her creative side, so I’ll share it with you guys when it’s ready so you can check her amazing work!
Now, about achieving the perfect little “getaway look”. Here are 4 simple steps you can follow:
Get a statement piece. In this case the hat would be mine, I like covering my face from the sun as much as I can. Plus it makes the outfit more interesting!
Finding a cute but comfortable look. Loose clothes always help get those vacation vibes going. Plus you will be able to enjoy your trip better!
Go light on the accessories. Just find a couple pieces that go with most of your outfits, that way you can mix and layer as you go. Gorjana always have the cutest!
Comfortable shoes without sacrificing style! I always find that wedges are the perfect travel shoe. They give you the height but you can still walk in them all day and not get tired. Plus they work perfect day or night, so you save space! Win-win situation, right?
December is here!! Can you guys believe how fast the year flew by? I feel like I just celebrated Christmas. This year I am staying in sunny SoCal for my favorite Holiday and I cannot wait to start celebrating! I love decorating my Christmas tree, eating all the delicious food, attending all the fun holiday parties and of course shopping for my friends and family!! Any excuse to shop right? Well for this week’s post I put together my favorite accessories for the winter. I have linked my top 3 of each category down below, I hope you like them!
But before that I want to talk about this look. With the holiday events happening all around I feel like you need something a bit more dressed up for the season and this Topshop romper is the perfect option! It’s affordable, easy to transition from day to night and it’s a classic but it’s not boring. I specially love the open shoulder and subtle ruffles at the top, the side pockets are a nice touch because it allows me to stand without a drink in my hand an not feel awkward (silly but true) and its beautifully cut!! Now I will say that it runs small so I would order a size up but other than that I LOVED it!!!
Simple accessories are the best option this season. I feel like its easy to get carried away when you attend holiday parties but trust me you don’t want to show up looking like a wrapped gift. Keep it classy..
Adding a classic watch always helps. I love leather straps for daytime and switch to stainless steel for night time to dress it up!
I styled this look with my favorite mules! The romper is beautiful but simple enough where I can add a fun print like this one and still make it look chic. *Whenever you wear leopard or any other animal print, make sure its not the main part of your outfit, otherwise it might look cheap so you have to style it very carefully..
This Summer I’ve been loving belts, I have them in every color! But last week I found this beautiful white leather one at Planet Blue’s new Newport Beach location and I had to have it! I love the black and brown belts but this one caught my eye because of how thin it is, therefore the double buckles don’t make me feel too chunky. Personally I’m a firm believer that accessorising your outfit is the key to make it interesting and doing it with belts can make it a lot more fun! Honestly, its things like this that can make an outfit go from simple to stylish. So whether it’s a romper, dress or your favorite jeans, a belt will always go perfect with it!
I paired it with all black because I love the contrast but feel free to mix it up! A white belt will pretty much go with everything. But if you’re not feeling the white, at the bottom I’ve shared some of my favorite belts of the season <3 Take a look..
I also wanted to share that I have a found a great photographer to work with! 🙂 To me it is extremely important to feel comfortable with the person I shoot so I feel very happy to have met such a kind and driven person:) All these photos were taken by Ryan, check him out! Ryan Chua
Sorry for the lack of posts this month. I’ve been doing a lot of photoshoots but haven’t had the time to post them. Im currently trying to get back on track but I’ve been so busy! Im also feeling much better so no more visits to the hospital, Im very happy about that <3 I have a few trips planned for the holidays and lots of fun shoots to show you, so follow along to see the best outfits for this season.
I’ve decided to start with a more formal look. This season usually brings more dinner parties and events so this is a sophisticated yet fun way to put an outfit together. I chose a black romper with a deep V neck line, with overlaying front panels and a back cutout. Its sexy and fun but the clean cut lines and its simplistic look keep it formal enough for any event! With a formal look you want to go with simple accessories, so if you wear red lips and pair it with a delicate pendant you can’t go wrong..
Happy Monday, hope everyone had a great weekend! These past few weeks I’ve been working on a couple of projects and there’s one that I’ve been dying to share with you. If you follow me on Instagram you already know I did a Lookbook Photoshoot for Morning Lavender, an online Fashion Boutique owned by fellow blogger Kim at Lace and Locks. I had so much fun shooting with them! Their style is so fresh and feminine, its right at my alley;) Im always excited to work on different projects and meet creative people, so I had a blast!
Floral Rompers, Maxi Dresses and Long Skirts are my idea of the perfect summer look and styling it with a fun hat is always a good idea;) Keep it fresh & fun and you’ll be good to go! There’s more projects to come in the near future so follow along for more..
I hope everyone’s weekend was fun. If you follow me on Instagram you already know I spent mine in Laguna Beach. It was so sunny and beautiful that I wanted to take a little day trip so I went with my friend Karen, who was nice enough to take these photos;) We walked around town, had lunch at Cafe Anastasia and visited some of our favorite shops. On days like these I love wearing something cute but comfortable so I decided to wear this sunglow yellow romper, its flowy and the color is so bold that it instantly puts me in a better mood. I’ve been really busy lately with a change of home address thats just around the corner, so its nice to just have a couple of days to relax with a good friend.
With summer style I always try to shop for items that are one full color instead of the typical flower prints because it makes the outfit look more clean and timeless. Plus its easier to accessorize and match with other clothes you may have. Try it, you’ll love the bold statement and you’ll look more fresh!

I absolutely love Laguna, its full of cute spots to visit and the beaches are beautiful! I plan to keep going in the next few weeks so you’ll be seeing more of my favorite spots down there. I hope you have a great week!
