Accessory Gift Guide

December is here!! Can you guys believe how fast the year flew by? I feel like I just celebrated Christmas. This year I am staying in sunny SoCal for my favorite Holiday and I cannot wait to start celebrating! I love decorating my Christmas tree, eating all the delicious food, attending all the fun holiday parties and of course shopping for my friends and family!! Any excuse to shop right? Well for this week’s post I put together my favorite accessories for the winter. I have linked my top 3 of each category down below, I hope you like them!

But before that I want to talk about this look. With the holiday events happening all around I feel like you need something a bit more dressed up for the season and this Topshop romper is the perfect option! It’s affordable, easy to transition from day to night and it’s a classic but it’s not boring. I specially love the open shoulder and subtle ruffles at the top, the side pockets are a nice touch because it allows me to stand without a drink in my hand an not feel awkward (silly but true) and its beautifully cut!! Now I will say that it runs small so I would order a size up but other than that I LOVED it!!!

Simple accessories are the best option this season. I feel like its easy to get carried away when you attend holiday parties but trust me you don’t want to show up looking like a wrapped gift. Keep it classy..

Adding a classic watch always helps. I love leather straps for daytime and switch to stainless steel for night time to dress it up!

I styled this look with my favorite mules! The romper is beautiful but simple enough where I can add a fun print like this one and still make it look chic. *Whenever you wear leopard or any other animal print, make sure its not the main part of your outfit, otherwise it might look cheap so you have to style it very carefully..

Baby Its Cold Outside

Hi guys!

I don’t know about you but I’ve been loving this cool weather! It gives me the perfect excuse to wear thigh high boots, long coats and Im sorry but those little things make me happy. Im from a small surf town in Mexico so growing up I was always in my bathingsuit which was fun but I never got to enjoy the fun winter clothes and now that I live in California I can! sort of… I mean its SoCal, so maybe I dont have snow but I still love it!

For this look I wanted all black, simple and femenine. I wore Lucy Paris label which I love! They have the best style, tops, dresses, skirts.. I love them all! They just fit right. And paired it with the best thing I own… my boots! Im so in love with them. They are the softest vegan suede boots I’ve ever seen and I personally love the stacked heel, it allows me to dress them up and dress them down whenever I like, so that’s a plus. Im telling you they fit like a glove! After that I just added some dainty silver jewelry, red lipstick and Im ready for this cold morning! Let me know what you think…

What I wore:

Black Coat from Morning Lavender | Urban Crop Top from Lucy Paris Clothing found at Revolve Clothing | Perouze Thigh High Boots from Jeffrey Campbell found at Nasty Gal

And the best part? They are all surprisingly affordable. Let me know whats your favorite style;) Thanks for reading,

New Beginnings

Hi Everyone, Happy New Year!

Hope your New Year’s celebrations were filled with fun and laughter. I always like starting off my year wearing white because it represents new beginnings, positivity and wholeness. Im excited for a fresh start and have all the energy to do it!

For this look I wanted to go very clean and simple. The intricate detail of the crop top in combination with the high waisted skirt is beautiful enough to skip the necklace, but I added a gold bracelet and acrylic clutch with a rose gold pouch inside and my favorite sunglasses to finish the look. Dressy but classic. Cant think of a better way to welcome the new year. Let me know what you think!

Holiday Ready

Hi guys

Sorry for the lack of posts this month. I’ve been doing a lot of photoshoots but haven’t had the time to post them. Im currently trying to get back on track but I’ve been so busy! Im also feeling much better so no more visits to the hospital, Im very happy about that <3  I have a few trips planned for the holidays and lots of fun shoots to show you, so follow along to see the best outfits for this season.

I’ve decided to start with a more formal look. This season usually brings more dinner parties and events so this is a sophisticated yet fun way to put an outfit together. I chose a black romper with a deep V neck line, with overlaying front panels and a back cutout. Its sexy and fun but the clean cut lines and its simplistic look keep it formal enough for any event! With a formal look you want to go with simple accessories, so if you wear red lips and pair it with a delicate pendant you can’t go wrong..

Winter in California

Life in Southern California is like having a clean start every day. I have lived here for two years now and I am yet to feel tired and bored of this place (as it usually happens by now). With its sunny days, golden beaches and good vibes, SoCal is easy to love. Even during winter this place is just as sunny and beautiful as ever and right now I could not imagine living anywhere else. I have met wonderful people, have a lovely home, an amazing boyfriend that makes my days so much brighter and full of laughter and to top it off I have found true passion in my chosen career. Life is good. Sure everything has its ups and downs but its having the right attitude when you get out of bed that truly matters.

I believe that life should be enjoyed to the fullest each and everyday, that in our busy live’s we still take a moment to enjoy that first cup of coffee, greeting people on your way to work, to see the good side of a bad situation, I believe in taking a deep breath after a long day and dedicating a few minutes to yourself to enjoy a good book or treating yourself to a nice bath. All these things matter because they make life colorful and memorable and rather than wondering at the end of the week where your days went, you would reminisce on all the little things that made it bright. Reflecting over it this morning I was inspired by all the greens I could see through my balcony and it made me smile because only in California would you have a view that belongs more to summer than winter. So while going through my wardrobe I had a distinct desire for a fresh but confident style that would get me through my busy Monday, with that in mind I went for an olive green crop top, my favorite black jeans, cutout black sandals, a gold braided necklace, my Olivia & Joy handbag and a white scarf for those unexpected Santa Ana winds. A few minutes later I had the look I needed, I grabbed my sunnies and headed out the door to begin my day. Here are some photos from today…

Even though the start of the week is universally dreaded, I believe that the right style can give you the attitude you need to take on whatever challenge may cross your path. And it may sound silly to some but its the little things that encourage you through out the day, so find yours, whatever gives you that extra push and got do it regardless of what other may think;) I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and that you find some inspiration along the way.
